Leave work and worries behind with a visit to Navarre Beach – a destination that truly deserves the title of Florida’s Most Relaxing Place.

Located on Florida’s Panhandle, this quiet beach town is the perfect place to get away from it all. Whether your idea of relaxation is a day on the beach or a hike through vast, green forests, Navarre Beach and the surrounding areas offers something for everyone.

Let’s start with its sugar-sand beaches. Imagine settling back onto your beach blanket and basking in the warm rays of the Florida sun. The only sound you’ll hear is the gentle lapping of the Gulf of Mexico against the soft white sands and the call of seagulls overhead. Navarre Beach is the place to put the cellphone on silent and let the worries of the world slip away. Need a little help getting onto the beach? No problem. Rental beach wheelchairs and access mats make it accessible for everyone to enjoy.

The area’s seemingly endless seaside includes a section of the Gulf Islands National Seashore, a federally protected strip of beach where houses and high-rises are nowhere to be found. You can also meet an actual sea turtle up close at the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center. The rescued green sea turtle is named Sweet Pea and is the Center’s ambassador-in-residence, welcoming visitors and teaching them all about the perils faced by sea turtles. You’ll leave with a new-found love for these ancient creatures, along with the knowledge of what you can do to ensure their survival for years to come.

Beyond the beach, sparkling waters make Navarre Beach one of the country's greatest spots for snorkeling. You’ll experience astounding sea life when you explore multiple man-made reefs, both offshore in the Gulf and in the sheltered waters of Santa Rosa Sound. If you’d rather paddle than dive, rent a kayak or paddleboard and take your time exploring the many natural treasures.

At the Navarre Beach Pier, even a bad day fishing beats a good day doing just about anything else. It’s Florida’s longest fishing pier, and it extends more than a quarter of a mile out into the Gulf of Mexico, providing plenty of space to cast a line for some of Florida’s most popular game fish, such as amberjack, mahi mahi, and red snapper. No gear? No problem. Rent what you need at the pier’s tackle shop. Windjammers restaurant is the perfect place to take a break, tell your favorite fish story or remember the one that got away.

End your day with fresh seafood and fantastic atmosphere at Navarre Beach’s classic seaside eateries. Sailors’ Grill and Juana’s Pagoda are proof positive that the only thing better than a day at the beach is an evening at the beach – especially when it includes friends, family, good food, and live music. Both venues offer open-air dining with a menu of classic beach cuisine, cocktails and craft beer. Cap things off with an ice cream cone at Turtle Roll Ice Cream and take one last stroll along the sand as the stars twinkle into view overhead.

If you want a break from the beach, head into the northern part of the county. That’s where you’ll find old Florida towns like Historic Milton to explore, along with endless forests and winding rivers to enjoy. Here, you can relax at your own pace – whether it’s hiking and biking the many winding trails, tubing or paddling the gently flowing creeks, or even ziplining through the trees.

Whether your idea of relaxation is sun-kissed or adrenalin-fueled, Navarre Beach has just what you’re looking for in a vacation. Come see for yourself what makes it Florida’s Most Relaxing Place.
