Today, we’re starting a series called “7 Days of Finding Rest.” Jesus promised that if you come to Him, you would find rest. The goal of these messages is to help you find true rest, whether it be physical, mental, or emotional. 

Jesus said, and it’s recorded in His Word, ““Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”” (see Matthew 11:28-29, NLT)

There is a cure for weariness for you and this remedy is found in the One Who is never weary. 

Jesus’s words in Matthew 11 are an invitation to come as you are. An invitation to receive rest close to God. 

Here’s what the Bible tells us about God: “Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.” (see Isaiah 40:28-29, NLT)  

Yes, He is almighty, eternal, infinite, immeasurably great. You can find everything you need in Him today...there is not one worry you have that He doesn’t have a solution for. Entrust Him with your weariness, and in exchange, take all of Him ... His goodness, His patience, His strength, His creativity, His power. 

Today, write down everything that wearies you ... physically, mentally, or emotionally. Then next to it, write down everything that God provides that can help you face this exhaustion! Today, draw your strength from Him, and let Him pour into you the abundant resources that He has prepared for you!
