Benq FP71G+ LCD Monitor Disassembly

What you need

  1. Benq FP71G+ LCD Monitor Disassembly, Remove the screws holding the base: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the screws holding the base.

    • Slide out the base

    • Remove the screws holding the back cover of the screen.

    • Start by prying out the back cover using a screwdriver in the holes at the bottom.

    • Continue along the bottom edge

    • Then follow by the side edges all the way to the top

  5. Benq FP71G+ LCD Monitor Disassembly, Disconnect control panel and remove VGA connector screws: step 5, image 1 of 1
    • The VGA connector screws shouldn't be too hard to unscrew, if you don't have the appropriate 5 mm wrench, you can use a set of pliers.

  6. Benq FP71G+ LCD Monitor Disassembly, Slide back the logic board cover: step 6, image 1 of 1
    • Just slide it down. No need to remove the tinfoil sticker.

  7. Benq FP71G+ LCD Monitor Disassembly, Proceed as you wish with the logic board: step 7, image 1 of 1
    • If the screen is not working, you may want to look for and replace any blown capacitors.

    • In my case, the two 1000 uF, 16 V electrolytes at the top right were faulty.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
