Introduction: How to Make a SASE (with Pictures)

For some people, a SASE seems complicated at first, but it's really not. This will guide you through step by step on how to make a SASE. Whenever I make a SASE, it's to request a NASCAR hero card from a team or sponsor. For that, I usually use 2 stamps on the return envelope and 2 on the one addressed to the team or sponsor. Today I am sending one to Circle K to get a Matt Kenseth hero card.

You will need these things:

  • 2 Envelopes
  • A piece of paper
  • An adequate amount of stamps
  • A pen/pencil
  • Hands
  • A brain

Step 1: Write Your Address on a Envelope

All you need to do is write your address on this envelope. Don't forget to also write the return address just in case. Also, make sure to put an adequate amount of stamps on this one. Now sit this one to the side.

Step 2: Write the Address of the Place You Are Sending the SASE to on Another Envelope

Write the address you are sending to on this one. Once again, don't forget to write the return address on the top left corner and put an adequate amount of stamps in the top right.

Step 3: Write a Note

Write a note saying what you want back in the SASE. It depends on what you are using it for though. For me, I request a hero card and they read the note and send me one back.

Step 4: Fold the Self Addressed Envelope

Fold it in half so it will fit in the envelope that has the address you are sending the SASE to.

Step 5: Put the Note and Self Addressed Envelope in the Other Envelope

Put the Note and the Self Addressed Envelope in the envelope that has the address of the place you are sending the SASE to.

Step 6: Close It Up and Send It Out

Close it up and put it in the mailbox! That's it!
