Description:
The yellow sugarcane aphid attacks a variety of small grains such as wheat, oats, sorghum, and even Johnson grass. Injury is similar to that caused by greenbug colonies. This aphid can be identified by its bright yellow color and rows of tubercles tipped with setae (small hair-like structures) along the top of the abdomen. The cornicles are very short.
