Swifties gather in Power and Light District to celebrate Taylor Swift's latest album release
Kansas City's Swifties are congregating in the Power and Light District Friday to celebrate the release of Taylor Swift's latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department."
Swifties were surprised at 1 a.m. this morning when they discovered the album had 15 extra songs.
This is the first time Swifties have heard songs from the pop artist about Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
At Power and Light, it's one massive "par-tay." People sing along; strangers exchange friendship bracelets.
"I'm impressed," said Swiftie Avery Shields. "I love them all, but I can't find my favorite song."
Tonight, Swifties celebrated the start of a new era with music they say is about Travis Kelce.
"It's super great just to see the outpouring people have given her ever since she started showing up to Chiefs," said Landon Delgado.
The party is expected to last nearly five hours, long enough to listen to all of the tracks on the new album - twice.
