Scarehead were an early '90s Goth Rock band. Formed in 1992, London, they moved to the San Francisco Bay Area for a change in scenery and scene.

They began a punishing number of live shows, building a cult following, and releasing their first demo. By selling their demo at shows, they financed their self-released and only album, Horrorcaust, a name they decided upon on an all night walk to the 7-11 and back again. Still up all night eating corn dogs and creamed corn, they realized they had a good name for an album, but hadn't written enough songs. Well shit, right?. So they began writing during the day and performing at night, and eventually, ended up in the studio and recording the whole album within five days.

Horrorcaust was well received and got the band support slots with bands such as Marilyn Manson, Ned's Atomic Dustbin, Ministry, Clutch, Groovie Ghoulies, and the Aquabats.

After this they returned to England for a while to have a brief flirtation with Polydor records, before going back to San Francisco and start playing shows again.

A video was filmed for their single "Ha Ha", and that was well received, too. There may have been bolt cutters and "borrowing" an abandoned warehouse involved, but we won't go into that…

After taking a break from heavy touring and work, the band members decided it was probably time to try other things.
And so we come to the end of the story, except I should probably mention that all members were surprised to find their songs featured on various compilation CDs. They are also surprised and extremely grateful that people still take the time to listen to their music, because it was always about that, and that alone.
