Campward Bound 2021

Liberty University Camp Fair Employers

65 different Camps united in the Alumni Ballroom and throughout the Montview Student Union to seek students interested in part-time jobs, internships, or careers in camps located across the country. Smiles and greetings spread around both students and employers as they endeavored to help one another spread the Word of Christ and support children, teenagers, and adults through their services, summer camps, or shelters in the inner city.

An Excited Atmosphere Full of Opportunity

The place was filled with the sounds of inquisitive students and delighted representatives, scratching pens and crinkling slips of paper. So busy was the space that you could barely take a step without being greeted by someone looking to offer you a place with them, and some part of you wants to take them up on the offer. The people you see are filled with such passion for God, such passion for people, and such passion for what they do that you can’t help but smile.

Each of these dozens of enterprises, from Good News Ministries and their out-of-school outreach programs in Indiana to Crowders Camps and their summer camps in North Carolina, represent something exciting, an opportunity not just to better yourself by taking on a challenge and potentially solidifying your future, but to help bring light and truth to the lives of people who may not see it often.

Working for Camp

Camps are looking for students with servant hearts, have joyful attitudes, can lead others and show them the love of Christ first-hand. Jacob Justice, an employee with Crowders Camps, said that going to camps when he was younger and meeting people like that had a serious impact on his life, leading him to Christ, and now, he wants to give that same gift to other people.

“Whenever it comes to serving at camp, a lot of times the line gets blurred between it being a job and almost like a mission field. You’re in a different place, you’re out of your comfort zone for an extended period of time, and you’re forgetting about yourself; you’re just serving, dedicating yourself to the kingdom of Christ.”

-Jacob Justice

If you are looking for guidance and how you too can follow or even just find God’s calling for your life, make an appointment with your Career Coach here where they can help answer any questions you might have.
