Product Overview

Nymphaea 'Attraction' Red Hardy Waterlily

Attraction is historically the best known red hardy waterlily. The red coloration is most pronounced  on the inner petals, lightening toward the tips. On new blossoms or early in the season, the red is much lighter, and the petals will get almost white toward the tips. Older blossoms will be darker as they age, and the red will also be darker on a 2nd year plant than on a 1st year plant. Lily pads are light bronze when young and mature to deep green. Has a slight fragrance and can grow in deeper water.

    Healthy, but expensive

The plant arrived alive and in good shape. I planted it in my farm pond, at about 2' below the surface. A lily pad reached the surface 4 days later. The pad is only about 3 inches in diameter.
