The AttackGraph tool, which supports IT security risk analysis through graph-based refinement of attack steps against a system, received a special award at this year's CNA InnovationsPreis (https://lnkd.in/dX48p_-y). The price acknowledges the special methodical innovation of the tool. Every year, the CNA e.V. awards companies, organizations or scientific institutions for particularly innovative products, developments, or services. The award-winning software was developed in the "Security Requirements Forecast " project, which is funded by the German Center for Rail Traffic Research at the Federal Railway Authority (DZSF). On behalf of the project consortium, consisting of INCYDE, Fraunhofer SIT, Uni Passau and Nextrail, Max Schubert (center, Managing Director INCYDE) accepts the certificate from Dr. Thomas Gruber (left, Head of Office of the Bavarian State Ministry for Housing, Construction and Transport) and Nobert Schäfer (right, Chairman of the CNA).

About 10 months after project start the partners Deutsche Bahn, ETAS, Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology SIT, INCYDE, Universität Passau and Yekta IT met for the first workshop in person. In addition to reflecting on the results to date, aspects and approaches of #vehicle #security #monitoring of the future were discussed and improved. We are looking forward to the upcoming collaboration and the many interesting results! Big thanks to ETAS for hosting us! The aim of the FINESSE joint project, which is funded by the #German Federal Ministry of #Education and #Research, is to develop a holistic security monitoring to protect central control systems as well as #road and #rail #vehicles. Automatic Train Operation (ATO) offers multiple advantages for rail operation. Continuous data exchange and control allows efficient efficient, capacity optimised and more punctual train operation. #ATO will become one of the first continuous data services between rail infrastructure managers and rail undertakings. #Maintenance, #Monitoring and #Security related services will follow. In the recently published Signal+Draht 11/2022 Dr. Martin Koop and Richard Frhr. Poschinger show challenges and solutions from the Cybersecurity perspective.
