The BEST and most beautiful things in the World cannot be seen or even touched they must be felt with Heart

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched but must be felt with the heart". This quote is from a remarkable story of an inspiring woman Helen Keller, who was deaf, and blind yet learned to communicate, felt the beauty of the world and lived on to make the world a better place to live.

Greek philosophers, including Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, considered beauty an absolute manifest in order, symmetry, and proportion. But, Sceptics, Epicureans, and Stoics nudged towards an understanding that beauty exists in symmetry (objective) and in eurhythmy (subjective)
And their contemporary, Confucius is credited with saying, “Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it.”

Every person in this world has a different perception of beauty. Different things creates different emotions in different people.

Dear Sunil, thank you for starting this discussion about our understanding of BEAUTY, There is a saying that says Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder". I am a visual artist and I favour realistic and surrealist paintings. I consider some "so-called" contemporary modern arts as an insult to my profession. The lyric below of Louis Armstrong - "What a Wonderful World" says perfectly what I understand as BEAUTY. 1) Being loved, 2) Music, 3) Laughter, 4) Having Family and Best Friends 5) The Kindness from Strangers - make a Beautiful World and a Wonderful World. It is sad that there is not much laughter in Ukraine as Putin is rainings fire on the people of Ukraine. Afghanistan, the people of Yemeni, the people of Tigray and oppressed people in our world are not living in a WONDERFUL WORLD. I see trees of green Red roses too I see them bloom For me and you And I think to myself What a wonderful world I see skies of blue And clouds of white The bright blessed day The dark sacred night And I think to myself What a wonderful world The colours of the rainbow So pretty in the sky Are also on the faces Of people going by I see friends shaking hands Saying how do you do They're really saying I love you

Beauty - the moment you recognize a value of something for no practical reason - adornment and fascination with an imprint it leaves on your soul. A face, a word, a sound, a place, anything and everything that takes reality out of being judged as trivial, cynically utilitarian, useful or purposeful. Great question Sunil! Thank you.
