FLAME TRIPHORID
Common under dead coral at any depth. Conic-elongate, three
spiral keels, upper & lower larger & shelf-like, middle
thread small, lower thread sometimes beaded, white with axially-oriented
splashes of light brown. Attains 15mm. Hawaii &
Mauritius to Samoa. Formerly known as Viriola flammulata. |
