Catrinm visited on 15th Jul 2020 - their rating: Cond: 2 Amb: 3 Access: 4 It is a shame it has been mistreated. A pile on stones and earth on top looks like the farmers have just cleared stones form the field and piled them on top. Cant CASPN do anything !

When excavated in 1878 it was a fine 21' diameter kerbed mound containing a curiously shaped chamber measuring 8' long by 3' wide and only 18" high but with its inner end opening out to a width of 4' and height 3'. The entrance was blocked by a single slab.
All that remains today is a short passage covered by a 4'6" by 4' granite slab supported on two stones on each side. A further slab on edge to the north-east of the capstone may be in its original position. The chamber is open at the north end but blocked at the south by the ploughed remains of the mound which is now only 15' across and 2' high. The field is used for crops, often maize, and so cannot even be seen in the summer months. Viewing is assured only in the winter months.
