Item Description

Bellingerite is an ultra rare hydrated Cu-iodate, UNIQUE to to the world's largest copper mine. Clusters of translucent, light and dark, turquoise-blue lathes cover the matrix on this exceptional and rich large specimen. The crystals reach about 6 mm. The larger light bluish green crystals are Leightonite and the smaller darker green crystals appear to be bellingerite. The back has been sawed to enhance the display quality. VERY RARE in this richness, size and quality. Probably older material, but no proof. It was discovered in 1940. Ex Carl Davis Collection. Value??
