According to a report by the Center for Automotive Research in Ann Arbor, there are 85 automotive manufacturing-related establishments in Mississippi, including eight motor vehicle manufacturing, 22 body and trailer manufacturing and 55 parts manufacturing establishments.

There are 200 auto manufacturing establishments in Alabama, including 10 motor vehicle manufacturing, 41 body and trailer manufacturing and 149 parts manufacturing establishments, according to CAR.
