Just sharing some pics of my petro red males. Really a great african and can actually homd their own with some monsters. Had three extra males that I took out of my breeding colony and I housed them with 4 VATF and an mbu. Worked great and they love to clean algae!
Bulu Points right? Those and Moshi's are about the most colorful out of Tangyanika. I haven't tried to keep them yet, but I have been itching to give it a go.
Bulu point was actually a made up collection point for these guys as they were actually collected illegally in a national preserve where fishing was not allowed. Mahale was one collection point but these guys are from Lyamembe. IMO the Lyamembe are much better. Bright orange with the color carrying much more into their fins. The mahale are more of a red with black fins.
If you ever want to truly give them a go just let me know, I breed them and have fry available any time. Shoot me an email at mc_cullen@hotmail.com, my name is Michael.
All the same colony, 4 m and 17f. These photos are taken weeks apart and that is why you see the blue background now versus clear a few weeks ago. Spent a ton of money building this colony. Not an easy or cheap wild caught fish to get!
