Blanche L. “Micki" Tigner, age 81, of Newark, passed away on April 17, 2024, with her loving family by her side. Micki was born on June 13, 1942, to the late John and Enid (Robson) Savage, in Carbondale, Ohio.
She was a loving wife, mom, and mamaw who will be deeply missed, was an encouragement to all. Micki enjoyed sewing quilts, gardening and was an avid golfer. She was a member of The Church of God of Mount Vernon. Micki sang in the church choir; was the church treasurer and loved the Lord with all her heart.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, John W. Tigner, Sr.; children, Jeff Tigner, Sherri (Mike) Hufford, LeAnn (Michael) Nethers, John W. Tigner, Jr., Mike (Kim) Tigner, Matt Tigner, Ben (Stephanie) Tigner; 21 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; brother, Jim (Beverly) Savage; aunt, Shirley Wagner; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, John Savage; sister, Arlene Hiles; grandson, Andy Hufford.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024, from 4 - 7 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, where her service will follow on Tuesday, at 11 AM with Pastor Jason Harding officiating. The burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Central Ohio for their kindness, help and caring for Micki.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Micki’s name to Hospice of Central Ohio.
