New Delhi: The success of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal has paved the way for its highly-anticipated sequel, titled Animal Park. While fans are eager for the next chapter in this intense cinematic universe, recent reports suggest that the journey to Animal Park will commence with the writing stage in February 2025.

Quoting the sources close to director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Mid-Day reported that despite the excitement surrounding the sequel, the filmmaker is currently immersed in preparations for his upcoming cop thriller, Spirit, starring Prabhas. This project is expected to occupy the next few months of Sandeep’s schedule. Simultaneously, the writing team will delve into crafting the narrative for Animal Park, utilising the plotline provided by the director.

Interestingly, the report also stated that the basic structure of Animal Park was conceptualised alongside the first instalment, Animal, as part of a planned multi-film narrative. The sequel will reportedly focus on Ranbir’s character, Ranvijay, and his doppelgänger Aziz. Additionally, it will delve into the intricate relationships involving Rashmika Mandanna’s character, Geetanjali, exploring her ties with Ranvijay and his connection with his son.

The creative process for Animal Park will undergo active collaboration between Sandeep Reddy Vanga and the writing team, led primarily by Pranay Vanga, who will provide monthly updates to the director while he is engrossed in filming Spirit. The director’s direct involvement in shaping the script is expected to intensify in the latter half of 2024.
