Variegated Malay Dwarf

Variegated Malay dwarf (Bambusa glaucophylla) is one of the most popular screening bamboos that we offer due to its fast growth rate, variegated beauty, low maintenance and environmental adaptability. It grows rapidly and reaches up to 25 feet tall. Its ability to produce copious amounts of shoots enables it to form a dense hedge in a short amount of time. Unlike many other bamboos, this plant requires very little maintenance and can easily be hedged to keep it at a specific height. Striped variegated green and white leaves top it off for a unique, striking look.

Please note plants cannot be delivered off-island at this time. Plants are available for free pickup in Waialua on the North Shore of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi.
