ANAHEIM — A crash involving a FedEx big rig and a smaller vehicle shut down three lanes for hours on the eastbound Riverside 91 Freeway in Anaheim early Thursday, Sept. 14.

The overturned rig was reported just before midnight east of Coal Canyon Road, California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada said.

The crash’s impact caused the truck to tip over and land on one of its sides. One person was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, Posada said. Crews had to work to get the rig back up on its wheels prompting a SigAlert for the 3, 4 and 5 lanes.

All lanes were reopened just before 5 a.m. The investigation into what led to the crash is ongoing.
