We had a great time, but I am really sore. Long drive for great ice climbing. 6 hours each way from Portland Oregon. Would I do it again? I am already planning my next trip to go in two weeks!

Rick MacDonald was the rope gun. I didn't lead anything. Didn't have to. New gear for me. I was not doing so well with keeping my heels down. I will need to work on that. Still had a blast. The ice was some of the best I have climbed. This is the first WI 5 grade ice that I have ever climbed. Glad we were able to figure out how to top rope the Lower Fall at Devils Punch Bowl.

The Adventure Queen even got to give it a try. She did really well and liked it so much she wants more.

Banks Lake Ice Climbing 039.jpgThe Adventure Queen getting her first ice. She looked like a pro. We almost gave her the rack of gear to push the route higher. She declined. She so rocks!

Except for her stepping through the ice on the frozen pond and sinking her leg up to her crotch she would have been climbing on Sunday too. She did hang out with her boot filled with water to take the following video. She truly is the Adventure Queen.

Good times with good friends. Doing what we love. Climb on!

Why is patience a virtue?
Because not many people have it.

This is part 2 of the same climb. I am not a video editor yet. I am an ice climber.
