As Orlando Sentinel writer Josh Robbins reports, the Orlando Magic will have the veteran point guard Luke Ridnour available for Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons. Ridnour, 33, was away from the team Saturday due to a personal matter when Orlando fell to the Washington Wizards, his first absence of the season.

In 10 appearances, Ridnour has come off the bench to average 5.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 20 minutes per game. Coach Jacque Vaughn has at times relied on him in crunch time, benching the rookie Elfrid Payton in Ridnour's favor. Ridnour hasn't always handled the ball in those instances, instead playing off it as a spot-up shooter while Evan Fournier runs middle pick-and-rolls. Payton's poor shooting makes him a liability in those situations.

Victor Oladipo's return to the lineup calls into question whether Ridnour will remain in Vaughn's rotation going forward, though it bears noting that Ridnour logged 18 minutes in Oladipo's first game back, a Friday victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Tipoff between the Magic and the Pistons is set for Monday at 7:30 PM on Fox Sports Florida.
