Upright, hairless, with leafy stems. Stems single or clustered, may have round thickened base with few alternating branches. Leaves all basal divided pinnately 2–3 times, linear leaflets to 2 in. long. Flowers in small clusters on stems of uneven length form umbels, are yellow, turning purplish with age. Grows on open slopes, flat lowlands, at mid elevations.
