A new video from MinutePhysics asks a simple but surprisingly profound question: What are cause and effect, anyway? Do they really exist?

It turns out that on the tiny, tiny level that physics works on, the answer is no. The equations that rule the physical world make no indication of a causation direction, only changes in states over time. However, it's when we zoom out to the physical world, the video explains, that it's impossible to ignore the realities of cause and effect.
