Description

The Nuraghe Losa is an archaeological monument of the Nuragic era with a structure with an equilateral triangle plan. Its name "Losa" in the Sardinian language means Cemetery or Tombstone and is located on a basaltic relief in the center of a very large settlement in central Sardinia, the area of ​​which was used not only for housing and military garrison purposes but also for funerary functions .According to some physical studies, the light penetrates inside the Nuraghe, but prevents those outside from seeing clearly what and who is there, therefore an exceptional defensive structure capable of offering protection and shelter to the inhabitants of the surrounding huts.
