SCIENTIFIC NAME - Cirrhilabrus solorensis

COMMON NAME – Red Head Solor, Clown, Tricolor Fairy Wrasse

SIZE – 5 in (13 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE - 70 gal (265 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING - Should be fed a variety of high quality marine meaty foods.

REEF COMPATIBILITY - Yes

CAPTIVE CARE – This fish does best when kept with other peaceful tankmates. It is can be kept signally, but when kept in a harem the male will perform a colorful and interesting courtship ritual. The females are more subdued in color. The females should be introduced first, and then add only one male per aquarium. They can be kept with other species of wrasses. The Solar Fairy wrasse prefers an aquarium with a shaded portion. Wrasses are known jumpers so the aquarium top should be covered.

Awesome fish. Just picked one up! Anyone have experience with them? Mine is playing the typical wrasse hide and seek the first day.

Fairy wrasses hiding is pretty normal the first few days, but they quickly become bold and very active.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
