Aquilonastra cepheus may be more familiar to some aquarists as Asterina cepheus (Müller & Troschel, 1842).
This small starfish is highly variable in appearance, as shown in Scott & Jeanette Johnson's beautiful photos of the Marshallines.
Aquilonastra cepheus feeds on encrusting sponges und compound ascidians.
