Coralliophila violacea is a marine gastropod mollusk, in the family Muricidae, the murex snails or rock snails. Coralliophila violacea can be found on stony corals, including Porites corals.
This species has a small, bulbous shell, up to 4 cm, generally covered with a calcareous deposit. Operculum present. Exterior dirty white, aperture usually violet.
Simialr to Coralliophila radula.
