Info

Periclimenes dardanicola Bruce & Okuno, 2006

Periclimenes dardanicola is a species of hermit crab associated shrimp from the western Pacific, especially associated with hermit crabs of the genus Dardanus (Dardanus arrosor).

This shrimp appears closest to Periclimenes parvus Borradaile, 1898.

The specific epithet dardanicola refers to the species association with hermit crabs of the genus Dardanus, with "dardani-" referring to the genus, and "cola" being the Latin word for "dweller".
