Info

Alpheus rubromaculatus Karplus, Szlep & Tsurnamal, 1981

Alpheus rubromaculatus is one of the bulldozer shrimp and lives in association with the White Cap shrimp goby Lotilia graciliosa.

The shrimp maintains the burrow by pushing sand out all day. The goby stands guard outside, warning the shrimp.

The World Register of Marine Species (WORMS) considers A. rubromaculatus a nomen nudem, or never officially published name.
