Amphioctopus mototi (Norman, 1993)
Submitted to the encyclopedia by Heckle with the ID. We thank for the photos.
The following text is taken from the entry of Octopus vulgaris, because we have no own experience. Octopuses are certainly not beginner animals, let alone for inexperienced aquarists with too small tanks.
Setup: If octopuses are introduced into a normal coral reef aquarium, they will eat all non-sessile animals! A species tank specially adapted to the octopus is therefore also recommended! It should be furnished with many stones, caves and crevices as hiding places.
Lighting: subdued lighting.
TIP: The octopus grows large and strong. Therefore it is recommended to cover the tank well and to weigh down the cover!
Food: Newly introduced animals often eat only live food such as shrimp and small fish. Later they will also eat: cockles, mussels, snails, crabs, sand eels and squid.

Octopuses are very intelligent animals, they recognize after a short time where their food comes from and grab it greedily with their arms. If they are hand fed, there is a risk that they will mistake their hand or even a finger for food....
Diseases: are rare.
What to do if the Octopus has expelled its ink in the aquarium?
This happens extremely rarely (namely only when the octopus is very excited
