Dipsastraea camranensis (Latypov, 2013)
Very special thanks for the photos of Favia camranensis to Dr. Dr. Yuri Ya. Latypov who found this species in the Hon Nai reef, Cam Ranh Bay, in southern Vietnam in 2013.
Dr. Latypov has described this coral as Favia camranensis.
The coral can be found in depths of 3 to 6 meter. It requires a fairly intense lighting and a medium current.
The species has probably already been distributed from South Vietnam aquaculture farms but misidentified.
Synonymised names:
Favia camranensis Latypov, 2013 (original combination, basionym)
