Serie gauchos argentinos En esta serie , trabajo a partir de un mito argentino, el gaucho. Este personaje nace en la modernista literatura argentina de José Hernández, de Sarmiento, de Borges El gaucho era un ser románticamente libre y bravo que vivía entre dos culturas, la de los pueblos originarios y la nueva europea. Este hombre elemental y aguerrido no era de nadie, no tenia dueños, aunque los dos bandos lo querían en sus ejércitos también lo mismo era perseguido de un lado y del otro. Trato con esta especie de superhéroe argentino, dibujar algo en este ser inventado que podamos reconocer de nosotros mismos, entre otras cosas esa gran sensación de desarraigo con la que llegamos al mundo y nos vamos, por otro lado los profundos deseos de libertad , de aventura que todos llevamos en la vida.

Diego Manuel Rodriguez, graduated from the UNLP with a degree in Fine Arts, Argentine painter and sculptor, lives and works in La Plata, Province of Buenos Aires.   short biography In the course of his career has made several solo exhibitions in La Plata and Buenos Aires, among which highlights the solo exhibitions of the Municipal Art Museum of La Plata, that of the French Aliaza of Buenos Aires, or the Museo Casa Carlos Gardel in Buenos Aires. His work has also been exhibited spontaneously by collectors from around the world, for example in Santa Ana California, Carmel-by-the-Sea California, New Jersey and New York in the US; Castellon, Verges and Barcelona in Spain; Dubai in the United Arab Emirates; Ferrara and Rome in Italy.
