A 3.5-m (11-foot) high standing stone located next to the lodge at the western entrance to the Belmont Estate, Macbeth's Stone lies a mile (1.5 km) southwest of Meigle. The stone is features ring and cup-marks. Legend suggests that Macbeth was killed nearby and the stone traditionally marks his grave, although it pre-dates this event by a thousand years.
