Tomato tips:
When planting tomato starts, pinch off the bottom sets of leaves and plant deep. Dig a hole 2-3 times larger than the root ball. Mix ¼-1/3 part compost to the native soil. Add 2-3 Tablespoons (T) organic tomato vegetable food, mix again and backfill. Press down gently, then sprinkle another 2-3 tablespoons of organic tomato vegetable food around the base of the plant.
Tomatoes like deep regular watering. They need to be staked or grown in a tomato cage for best results. After 3-4 weeks fertilize again with ¼ - 1/2 cup of organic tomato vegetable food.
Change location of your tomatoes every 1 to 2 years
