About us
Tai Tanzania is a youth-led NGO in Tanzania that uses storytelling and technology to inspire social behavioral change in our community and across the continent. We produce animations, comics and radio drama as intervention tools to ensure all young people can access education.

OKY GLOBAL VISIT
Oky Tanzania on 19th April,2024 we were delighted and excited to welcome our visitors Gerda Binder the Global Senior Advisor, Gender and Technology UNICEF and Jane Mgone the Innovation Officer from UNICEF who paid a visit to see our girls at Mikocheni Secondary School who participated in the co-creation of OkyTanzania period tracking app . We had an amazing discussion with the girls on their experiences, awareness and insights they had after using the application. We also had an amazing time with the team to discuss on the future of Oky as an application that impacts girls with knowledge on menstrual health hygiene and good records keeping of their period. We are excited of what the future holds. Together we say "Oky for Girls by Girls Period"

CORPORATE WELLNESS CONFERENCE 2024
Tai Tanzania had the pleasure to attend the CORPORATE WELLNESS CONFERENCE 2024 with the theme "mitigating NCDs for sustainable businesses" that was organized by Global Compact Network Tanzania and ImpactAfya Limited. The event brought together more than 200 businesses aspiring for wellness. We had so much to learn and aspire for wellness as an organization since workplace wellness programs are an extremely powerful tool that can play a significant role in employee engagement, organizational productivity, talent retention , creativity and innovation within the organization and we are delighted to keep embracing it.

TRUE COLORS TRAINING
At Tai, excellence is one of our core values and staff training is necessary to ensure we perform better. Team Tai had a training on "TRUE CLOURS", trained by Maggie MacDonnel from Canada who received her Global Teacher prize award from Sunny Varkey as the best teacher in the world in 2017 . With the True Color training our team was able to identify various personality styles of the colleagues and label them with colors , it also helped to support team building and provided insights on how we can be able to pitch and present to people with different personalities . The experience was truly wonderful and worth it for everyone on the team.
