Since the latter half of 2021, Kristen Stewart has been booked and busy promoting Spencer. And while her portrayal of Princess Diana has been the core of all of her recent interviews, that doesn’t mean Twilight questions are fully off the table.

If you’ve been on the internet this past year, you’d know the Twilight film saga is living a full-on renaissance aided by the fact that the whole franchise was made available on Netflix back in July 2021. Well, now KStew is sharing her two cents of the Twilight resurgence.

“I had no idea, [but] it’s great,” Kristen said in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I saw that it was on Netflix… like, it was on there while I was looking through. Dude, it's weird because it feels incredibly far away and also still not that far away from me and my time in this film. I don't know… On one hand, you're like, 'Oh, I'm old, my God, I did this five minutes ago. And now it's like 10-year anniversary.' I'm like, wow, I have to go to my high school anniversary already.” Well, it's actually been over 13 years since the first film premiered but Kristen is probably referring to the culmination of the saga in 2012 with Breaking Dawn, Part 2.

Aside from speaking her extremely relatable truth, Kristen also admitted that the whole rediscovered phenomenon is “rad” and even briefly had a pinch-me moment reminiscing about the saga’s impact. “I think it’s amazing. I get it. I watched all the Harry Potters recently. It’s fun to just sit and [watch.] It’s also the holidays, it’s cozy. it makes sense to me.” Incidentally, the Harry Potter cast shared similar feelings during their new special retrospective Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts so the question now is when are we getting the Twilight one?
