  • A three mile stretch of sand and shingle beach that runs along a narrow spit of land at the mouth of the Humber Estuary. There are beaches either side of the spit so its easy to find a spot out of the wind.

    Care should be taken swimming anywhere near the point as tidal currents can be very strong.

    Spurn Point and surrounding area are a designated SSSI (site of special scientific interest) and a great place for spotting migrating birds. Spurn is also a popular spot for fossil hunting.
