Enjoy being all by yourself? You’re not alone!

Eighty-five per cent people in a new Pew survey said it is “important” to have alone time, while 55 per cent categorised alone time as “very important.” The survey designed to judge American attitudes on privacy found that when it comes to alone time, most of the respondents’ answers indicate that they are very fond of their own company.

As many as 85 per cent respondents called alone time “important,” with 55 per cent of them considering it “very important.”

This was true for both men and women, and across all age groups, too, ‘nymag.com’ reported.

In the survey, 79 per cent respondents also said that it is “very” or “somewhat” important to them not to have people at work or social situations ask them about things that are “highly personal.”

Some 44 per cent respondents said that avoiding prying acquaintances is “very important” to them and another 36 per cent said this is “somewhat important.”
