THE PATH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

THE PATH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.png
Let it be our unceasing prayer, that as we grow older, we may not grow colder in the ways of God. As we advance in years, let us not decline in spiritual power; but let us see to it that an increase of spiritual vigour and energy be found in us, that our last days may be our best days.

Pro 4:18 But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.

First notice here a promise of God to the righteous. We are only righteous by turning to God and putting our faith in the risen Son of God! Alright, with that settled, let’s ponder this magnificent promise! I am now older than I want to admit. It is so easy for me to get discouraged when I stop and look over my past. I see so many things I would do differently, if I had the opportunity. Well, I don’t. If I am looking back, I cannot see the direction that God wants me to go. Looking back is not fitting for the Kingdom of God! So that is no good. If I look forward with my gaze upon Jesus, I see that my future is growing brighter and brighter! In this incredibly dark and confusing world I am walking through, my pathway to Heaven is growing brighter and brighter!

Psa 23:3(b) He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake.

Jesus orders my steps, He guides me along the path of righteousness. He makes my steps sure so that I will not slip. He makes sure that I am going to end up in eternity with Him. O how wonderful is this great Shepherd and Bishop of our souls. Friend, if you love Him, you will follow Him all the way to Father’s house. Glory to God! In Christ, getting older is making us better! Today, we are one day closer to seeing Him face to face!

O my, the best is yet to come! HALLELUJAH!

Every blessing!
