Reports: TV host Brooke Burke files for divorce from actor David Charvet

TV host Brooke Burke filed Friday for divorce from her husband, actor David Charvet, according to news reports.

People and Entertainment Tonight confirmed that Burke, 46, filed divorce papers in Los Angeles County to end her marriage to Charvet, 45, after more than six years. People said it had obtained the court documents.

The couple have been separated since January, People reported.

Burke is seeking joint legal and physical custody of the couple's two children, daughter Rain, 11, and son Shaya, 10, according to People. She is the mother of two teenage daughters from her previous marriage to Garth Fisher.

Burke is a former Dancing with the Stars host, and Charvet starred in Melrose Place and Baywatch.

USA TODAY reached out to Burke's publicist for comment, but no response was immediately forthcoming.
