Prearranged

Anyone who thinks calciopoli is a thing of the past need only watch De Rossi intentionally stick his arm into the ball in the box as if he knows that he won't get called for it...

Tullio M. Puglia

I'm too sick to write a review and i don't think any of you want to read it anyways

Quotes

Montella:

It’s a bitter defeat, as we were fighting for a very important third place finish. I compliment the lads on an excellent performance and it’s so disappointing because Fiorentina did not deserve to lose,” said the Coach.

“I don’t talk about referees. De Rossi? He did move towards the ball... In any case, let’s not get fossilised into one single incident. There are games with a certain story and this seemed like the photocopy of our Coppa Italia game.

“The team gave its all, but this is football. Tomorrow we begin all over again.”

“A lot depends on Milan, as they still have to play and win,” noted Montella. “If they draw tomorrow, then we’ll be only two points behind them.”

Delle Valle:

It’s a shame the referee didn’t see the handball, but I understand it is difficult to spot these things in a hundredth of a second,” Della Valle told Sky Sport Italia.

“In the second half we hammered Roma, but the incredible irony is we were beaten by Osvaldo, the man whose goal took us into the Champions League four years ago.

“Now the Europa League qualification is within our grasp and we’ll see what can happen in the Champions League. It’s tough to sleep after a game like that. The players were so fired up, I had to calm them down in the locker room.”

“The project is serious and will be in future too,” assured Della Valle. “Not even in our Champions League campaigns have I had so much fun, as all of Italy enjoys watching this Fiorentina.

“I am extremely proud of this project, which does not end here. We must continue the Fiorentina project and won’t give up regardless of what the next three games tell us.

“Last year I made many mistakes, but this time round I got a lot of them right with the courage to change.”

Looking Ahead

No Ljajic for the next two matches, Fiorentina need three wins and nothing less to reach Europe. Jovetic will need to step up, he played better against Roma, but not nearly well enough. Siena has been playing poorly, but always seem to get up for the Darby. Short turn around as the match is midweek. Also complicating matters will be a suspension for Tomovic, it is not sure if Roncaglia will be back from injury in time. Also facing an injury is Aquilani, who bruised his knee Saturday and had to be replaced.
