Sally Singer, the former Vogue digital creative director who was most recently head of fashion direction at Amazon, has joined US talent agency WME (William Morris Endeavor) as president of Art + Commerce, which falls under its fashion division.

Singer most recently worked at Amazon Fashion, where she advised the global fashion and fitness leadership teams on areas including branding direction, product development, user experience and trend forecasting. Prior to this, she had a long career in magazines, including at American Elle, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, and 20 years at Vogue, latterly as creative director.

WME’s Art + Commerce division represents photographers, stylists, creative directors, hairstylists and makeup artists, directors, set designers and illustrators. Notable clients include photographers Steven Meisel and Cass Bird, hairstylist Luke Hersheson and a roster of stylists including former Vogue creative director at-large Grace Coddington, British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful and iD editor-in-chief Alastair Mckimm.

Singer is known for championing emerging fashion talent, from designers to directors, and is a member of the board of trustees of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Within Art + Commerce, she will work with some of those whose early careers she supported, such as Bird, whose famed 2014 ‘Give Me a D! Give Me an F!’ Vogue photoshoot was produced under Singer. At WME, Singer will be primed to offer similar guidance to a new generation of talent.

“Sally has a wealth of experience and deep-rooted relationships across the industry, and I look forward to seeing her creativity, eye for talent, and leadership drive meaningful value for Art + Commerce and across WME Fashion,” said Susan Plagemann, president of WME Fashion, in a statement. Plagemann also worked at Vogue and its parent company Condé Nast (owner of Vogue Business) before joining WME.
