Established in 1949, Keele University is an open research university in Staffordshire, England. Started as the University College of North Staffordshire, it received its status of a university in 1962 by the Royal Charter. It is recognized as the largest campus in the nation with some prominent buildings and a science park.
The university’s rural campus is spread over a land of 625-acre. It offers academic facilities through its three faculties, including the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. It offers education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels with almost 90 percent of present undergraduates study dual honors. The students at the university are offered to choose from more than 500-degree courses in all.

Its sports activities are managed by the Athletic Union, and students can participate in various sports, including rugby, lacrosse and dodge ball. Moreover, it maintains two sports halls of national standard, a fitness center, a dance studio, a single court gymnasium, and a climbing wall. It is also the first institution of a higher education center in the nation to maintain the full facilities of the “Kinesis” gym.
Furthermore, Keele University comes with a 24/7 library that offers incredible facilities and study space for students. It has a campus library and separates Health Library with free Wi-Fi and extensive print and online resources. The institution maintains a graduation rate of over 90 percent. In 2011, the university has established a college of fellows to encourage the activities of the university outside the traditional territory of the academic world.
