Who We Are

West Side Community Services fosters the stability, security, and well-being of our vibrant and dynamic community by engaging, connecting, and supporting its residents. Our vision is to be the organization that advocates for opportunities and generates possibilities for all people in our community, at every stage and from every walk of life.

We offer youth programs, programs for older adults, and Provisions 139, a market-style food pantry.

 

What We Do

Youth Programs

  • K-6 after-school program and summer day camp
  • Evidence-based programs aimed at preventing youth substance use and violence
  • Evening teen hours
  • A drop-in play space for children 0-5 and their caregivers

 

Senior Program

  • Health and wellness, arts, and recreation activities
  • Twice-weekly coffee and conversation, bingo, and lunch
  • Outings to local points of interest
  • University Express and other educational lectures
  • Holiday parties
  • Support and connection to social services and other resources

 

Provisions 139

Market-style food pantry that offers fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, and dairy products, alongside shelf-stable pantry staples. Open to residents of zip codes 14201, 14209, 14213, and 14222.
