Once the two children made their way onto the balcony, away from the loud noise of the banquet, Chen Li stared at his hands that were interlocked with Jing Yi's.

The seemingly endless night sky looking down upon them, an occasional gentle breeze passing by now and then.

Chen Li felt his heart beating faster and faster.

He felt warm. He felt happy.

His lips unconsciously curved up, it felt like the whole world had stopped.

Anyone who had previously met Chen Li seeing this scene would be shocked. The cold young master of the Chen family who was considered a genius and extremely mature for his age was now grinning like an idiot and to top it off, with bright red cheeks.

The girl who was holding the boy's hand was a different story though.

Jing Yi silently gazed at the night sky.

'Zhenzhen I'm hungry. Where's the food you mentioned before?'

[...]

The system silently stared at Chen Li who was looking at it's host love struck and the host who was on the receiving end of this love struck gaze not noticing at all.

[Host... what about you talk to Chen Li?]

'Talking to him won't fill up my hunger.' Jing Yi told the system seriously.

[Chen Li is quite pitiful. The host is so oblivious....]

'?' Jing Yi, as always, had no idea what the system was talking about.

Seeing as she wasn't receiving a response from Zhenzhen, Jing Yi turned towards Chen Li.

"I'm hungry." She said.

Chen Li, hearing this, lead her back inside over to the food area still holding her hand which attracted them some stares along the way.

"What do you want to eat?" He asked as Jing Yi looked at the food with bright eyes.

Jing Yi's gaze was instantly locked onto the cake. Chen Li, of course, noticed this and wanted to cut a piece for her but the problem was...

He was too short to reach the cake.

The table in which the food was resting upon was a perfectly normal height for the adults attending the banquet to reach, but it was too high to reach for children.

The most logical reason for this was so that the children attending the banquet wouldn't mess around with the food but at the moment, Chen Li, who was well-known for his use of logic, utterly despised those people who set up this table.

As he looked at Jing Yi's eyes that had shifted from the cake to him, he felt a little embarrassed.

He looked around the room only to find that the surrounding guests were staring at them and giving him eager glances as if to say "come ask me for help."

Of course his pride wasn't going to allow that. Why would he ask someone to cut a piece of cake for her? Wouldn't she then be thankful to them instead of him?

Imagining the scene of the girl beside him thanking another person with a bright look on her face, his face darkened, and he hesitantly separated their hands and began to walk away.

'Zhenzhen, can you cut me a piece of cake?' Jing Yi asked hopefully, seemingly not noticing the missing figure that was beside her.

[Host, I don't have hands.]

Jing Yi stared at the fluffy white ball, her expression not giving away any of her thoughts, but the system on the receiving end of this stare, felt as though it was getting stabbed by ten thousand knives.
