Meet Jailene Peralta

Despite our long hiatus, one member has withstood the test of time and is an example of dedication within the WE@T community. Our vice president Jailene Peralta is a foundational member to the WE@T executive board since its early, uncertain days and we are proud to have her loyalty and dedication to our club.

Jailene, hailing from Brooklyn, New York, has a history of forging her own path. In her junior year at Tufts, she finds herself an interdisciplinary studies major, where she has carefully crafted her own major of consumer psychology. Eventually, she would like to use her complex and curated education to break into the business side of the fashion industry, where she hopes to be a regular attendee of New York and Paris fashion weeks.

As for her role in WE@T, she is the head of the podcast team on top of her vice presidency, which she built from the ground up. Her goal is that we are able to learn how to navigate networking and connecting with each other in the time of COVID. In addition, she hopes that all of the teams are able to complete projects that they are passionate about.

In her free time, Jailene loves spending time with her friends, buying candles, and considers herself a blazer enthusiast (peep her whole rack of blazers in the background of all her Zoom calls). Once a year, she reads Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist to reconnect with goals and turn her aspirations into gold. She also titles some Spotify playlists places she has never been so that she can manifest traveling there one day.

Above all, Jailene wants to reinforce that the best thing she has gotten out of WE@T is the community. After learning so much from each member of the club, she is so proud of how members constantly uplift and want to see each other do well. Within WE@T, she feels as though she always has someone rooting for her.

I know I speak on behalf of all members of WE@T when I say how proud I am to have worked alongside Jailene, and am continuously inspired by her creativity and kind heart that she shares with the whole club. We are so lucky to have Jailene be our vice president, and can’t wait to watch her flourish.
