Pouring DevicesWith Hand-Wheel ControlAPouring Devices With Hand-Wheel Control Dimensional Data Series 5560 & 5570Model “F” Pouring DeviceSeries 5560 MODERN Model “F,” geared Pouring Devices are goodgeneral purpose machines for pouring molds. Gross loads totaling650 pounds are transported with minimum effort.Handling hot-metal loads that extend beyond therange of hand-shank pouring demands the efficiencyof MODERN geared Pouring Devices. The large hand-wheel and efficient planetary gearsystem, relieves the pour-off -men of much back-breakingwork. Geared lifting of the molten metal affordsmaximum safety, too. A Weston type brake holds theladle at any desired height. Turning the handwheel ina clockwise direction raises the load. Turning counterclockwise quickly inches the load to its accurate loweredposition over the sprue. Each machine is thoroughlyfactory tested. Moving parts are effectively guardedagainst the damaging effects of dust, shot and heat.BECDThe severe working conditions of foundry operation were taken intoaccount in the design of the Model “F” and “FA.” Planetary cut-toothgearing operates in an oil-tight gear case. Weston type load brake andsteel ladle lock guard the safety of the operator. The range of liftingheights is shown in the specifications listed on this page.
