Through My Window 3 Looking at You: Cast, Release Date, and Trailer - Netflix Tudum
- MICHAEL OATS“It all began with the Wi-Fi password.” But will Raquel and Ares’ romance survive the odds?By Rebecca JohnsonFeb. 26, 2024
Can the scorching romance that started with a shared Wi-Fi network maintain its connection? That’s the question at the heart of Through My Window 3: Looking at You (A través de tu Mirada), the third (and apparently final) sequel to Through My Window (A Través de mi Ventana) and Through My Window: Across the Sea (A Través del Mar), the hit Spanish language YA films directed by Marçal Forés, based on a book trilogy by co-creator Ariana Godoy.
The tragic events and tumultuous finale of Through My Window: Across the Sea put an end to Raquel and Ares’ already fraying relationship too. At the close of the summer, the star-crossed couple (played by Clara Galle and Julio Peña) break up seemingly for good. But when Ares and Raquel find themselves back in Barcelona for the winter, things heat up again. Desire’s a powerful force, but is theirs strong enough to fight a world conspiring to keep them apart?

What happens in Through My Window 3: Looking at You?
Raquel Mendoza can’t help but steal a look across the way at Ares Hidalgo’s apartment, but she shuts her window again, meaningfully. Behind her is Gregory (Ivan Lapadula), just hopping out of her bed — yes, Raquel has a new man in her life, and Ares is back in the arms of more-than-a-friend Vera (Andrea Chaparro). Plus, she’s got other things on her mind: Her first novel, drawn from her own life, is about to be published — and it’s dedicated to her best friend and biggest supporter, Yoshi (played in the previous films by Guillermo Lasheras), whose shocking death is still a fresh wound.
How long can Raquel keep closing her window to Ares? It’s Christmastime in Barcelona, and Ares and Raquel wind up at the same holiday party along with their mutual circle of friends, each accompanied by their significant other. It’s deeply awkward — and also impossible to deny how they’re both really feeling. Soon after, when a storm blows open Raquel’s window late one night, it’s clear that more than a giant metaphor is in the air. But Raquel and Ares are drawn back to each other, other forces (and friends and family) threaten to destroy their romance. Drama’s brewing in the lives of the other Hidalgo brothers: Artemis (Eric Masip) and Claudia (Emilia Lazo) have become significantly closer, and Apolo (Hugo Arbues) is unexpectedly falling for someone new. Meanwhile, Anna’s (Carla Tous) own raw grief over Yoshi’s death pushes her to an impulsive action. Raquel’s forthcoming book is about the matters of the heart, and as publication nears, she’s becoming aware just how much more she (and everyone around her) still has to learn and experience.
Is Through My Window 3: Looking at You based on a book?
Yes, the Through My Window film trilogy is based on the Hidalgo brothers book trilogy by Venezuelan American author Ariana Godoy, who first published the original novel on Wattpad.
Is Through My Window 3: Looking at You based on a true story?
Yes, the premise for the original book came from Godoy’s own experiences. As she told Popsugar, “In college, I had a neighbor that I was kind of ‘sharing’ my Wi-Fi with, and I had a huge crush on him. It didn’t end well, but that inspired me for the beginning of the story. You know, two different worlds colliding because one person is stealing the main character's Wi-Fi connection is a very relatable way to start a love story."

Where does Through My Window 3: Looking at You take place?
Through My Window 3: Looking at You is again set in Barcelona, but during Christmastime, so expect to see mistletoe and ice-skating montages amid plenty of rumpled bedsheets and fireworks exploding in all directions.
