A. hitaeniata is a relatively common aquarium fish, and is now and then de- scribed in aquarium literature, e.g. by Goldstein (1973: 48, 128 lower photo [129 upper photo = A. fri/asciafa]), and Staeck (1974: 192, Fig. 130, 131; 1977: Fig. 50).
